Open Channel and CCau working together on research about CC for non-profits

After the success of the Video Slam project which we did with Open ChannelĀ (OC) we’ve had further discussions with OC, who have expressed interest in implementing CC on more than a project basis. Initially we discussed with Andrew Garton and Training Manager, Ness Alexander the idea of putting OC’s training materials out under a CC licence, but that quickly expanded into releasing a range of materials and documentation under CC. We discussed the idea that non-profits that have been around for awhile, such as OC, have a great wealth of knowledge bundled up in their organisation. VIDEO SLAM :: five smiles

The Video Slam video is completed! The film, 5 smiles was produced by 5 teams of cross-discipline artists/filmmakers over 48 hours with both creative commons licensed content from the web and content shot on location in and around the Melbourne CBD. 5 smiles is an exploration of the themes of tolerance, inclusion, diversity, freedom of expression and association, and access to knowledge and wisdom.
