election day 16 :: costello still under the radar

i ask again, has anyone seen costello? it seems i am the only one wondering that. brisbane times says: The Treasurer, who will become prime minister if the Coalition wins the November 24 election, has had a higher profile in this campaign than in any other. But are voters noticing? for all this new ‘profile’ i have to say i have hardly heard a word about him, let alone out of him. and if it has been, it is always in relation to howard saying he and costello see eye-to-eye. we know that he’s miles behind rudd and howard, but you’d expect that. of course the actual leaders are going to be ahead of the future prime minster. but what about how he fares…

election day 15 :: more preference pollaber

mark vaile, leader of the nationals, is demanding disclosure by labor of the details of their prefrence deal with the greens. seems like can’t-stand-others-having-secrets attitude to me. they’ll announce it when they want. but i do take his point that “…Rudd should now come clean on any policy changes he has promised to the Greens.” steve fielding wasn’t as nice about it. i really wish that the general voting population had a clearer idea of what these types of preference deals actually mean. it can get quite complicated. not sure what’s going on? read my election speil
