It’s a degenerative disorder that results from the death of dopamine-generating cells which affects motor functions. The researchers turned stem cells from human embryos into neurons that produce dopamine and injected 100,000+ of these neurons into the brains of mice suffering a rodent disease that also results in damaged dopamine-producing cells.
