When asked I would probably tell you I am a freelance digital and social producer who focuses on strategy and analysis. But that sounds wanky, so I prefers to just say I’m a guy who knows a lot about digital technologies and the social web, about copyright and about the arts. And I have spent the past 10 years finding out about how people interact with all of these things.
Before going freelance I was the Digital Content Officer at the Australia Council for the Arts (August 2011–June 2013), where I was looked after all things that publish, play, post and tweet. In that time I increased the network size across their core platforms—Twitter and Facebook—by more than 1000%. Read more about what I did at the Australia Council.
Before joining the Australia Council I was the Creative Industries Project Officer at Creative Commons Australia (October 2004–July 2011), the organisation that administers the Australian Creative Commons licences. During my time at ccAustralia I worked on more than 800 rights management projects. Read more about what I did at ccAustralia.
