rudd announced in far north queensland today a $200 million environmental plan designed to protect the great barrier reef which as we all know is dying because of climate change. rudd’s plan targets sediment and nutrient run-off from farming in the area.
now, don’t get me wrong, i am very pro environmental politics. plus one day i want people to be able to take their children to the reef (not me thought, i’m not having children…scary), so i understand the sentiment. but really? surely there is more to this election than the environment. as the election goes on it seems that labor is getting almost as green as the greens and the coalition are green with envy…
